Who Is Coaching For?

We work with women of all ages and with all goals.

This includes:

  • Prenatal & pregnant women who want to stay fit, strong, and active through pregnancy
  • Postnatal mothers who want to begin working out or work out harder – but aren’t sure how to start
  • Moms of older kids who need help adjusting to their new bodies and recovering from pregnancies
  • Women who want to work to minimize diastasis recti and return to lifting

We can work with women of all skill levels. We’ve coached total beginners, including grandmothers, and turned them into medalist powerlifters.

We believe strongly in the importance of strength training, vigorous exercise, and healthy eating habits. All women can benefit from what we do.

We are up to date with current recommendations for pregnant women and use the PARmed-X for Pregnancy questionnaire to make sure all of our clients are safe to exercise.

Women Who Are Not A Good Fit

Some women are not prepared for online coaching and would benefit from in-person physical therapy or post-rehab training.

This includes:

  • Postnatal women who have not been cleared for exercise
  • Active or acute injuries
  • Joint injuries that have not been treated or evaluated by a medical professional (physical therapist, chiropractor, etc.)
  • Severe lower back pain
  • Neck pain

In these cases, we’re happy to help you by referring you to an appropriate medical professional. E-mail, provide details of your situation, and we’ll be happy to help you as best we can.

1 - Book a free consultation call

We simply want to talk to you, hear all about your goals, and get to know you better.

If you’re a good fit for our online personal training, we’ll tell you about how to get started.

If you’re not a good fit, we’ll give you advice and recommendations on how to meet your goals in another way.

2 - Schedule a video assessment

Once you’re signed up for coaching (Yay! Welcome to the team!), you’ll book a video call with Coach Devin.

On that call, you’ll talk abour your:

  • Health & Fitness Goals
  • Medical History
  • Preferences for Workouts
  • Nutrition Habits
  • Challenges or Obstacles

Devin will also lead you through a brief movement screen. The screen tells us everything we need to know about writing a customized fitness program for you to follow. It’s used with both total beginners and professional athletes all over the world.

3 - Start training with us

Coach Devin will start writing your training program right away.

You’ll receive a month’s worth of customized workouts through our free app, TrueCoach. In TrueCoach, you’ll be able to follow workouts, send form videos, ask for help, and log your workouts.

Devin will update your program for you and make sure you see continuous progress.

At the same time, you’ll start working with Kara on motivation, accountability, and staying consistent. She’ll help you with your nutrition goals, too.

Every Monday & Friday, Kara will check in with you and keep you on track.

We’ll work as a team to help you get into great shape and achieve your goals.

Kara is a certified personal trainer, former event planner, and mom-to-be!

Her own challenges in learning how to work out safely & effectively during pregnancy inspired her to help other moms.

She loves chatting with other pregnant women and helping them stay fit.

Devin Gray, CSCS

Co-Founder, Strength Coach, Pre- & Post-Natal Fitness Specialist

Devin writes all of the workouts and nutrition plans for Radiate Fitness. He’s been a full-time personal trainer since 2011 and has owned a garage gym studio since 2014.

Devin became certified in Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness through Girls Gone Strong to better serve the women he coaches. He has successfully coached women with diastasis recti, C-Section scars, pelvic floor prolapses, and pelvic pain.
